How does COVID-19 affected the Endurance Events

Answer

At the time of writing (November 2023) there are no COVID-19 restrictions imposed on activities.  We will continue to monitor this and adjust our plans should the status change.   We are fully aware Covid 19 is still in circulation and will continue to take precautions to help minimize the spread and the well-being of our teams and volunteers.

This is largely an outdoor event so the risk to participants and checkpoint teams out on the course is minimal.   The biggest risks are to our scout  volunteers and Raynet radio operators based at Chesham and Gt Missenden event HQ who are operating indoors.  We plan to operate in both locations with as much ventilation as possible and to try to minimize the number of people in the building and especially the control room.  Minibuses will also operate with as much ventilation as practical.    We will be encouraging anyone feeling unwell not to attend the event.

We will also be restricting access to Misbourne school and  1st Chesham HQ to walking teams and their leaders and our volunteers.   Parents should drop off and collect young people from outside meeting points.
